Bondi 8am – Small, Onshore and mushy
Big storm drowning Sydney at the moment. Heavy rain and gale force winds. Could barely get a shot of Bondi without getting the camera wet (sorry only 1 pic today!). Wind: E/SE 13/18 knots freshening to 25/33 knots by late morning. Winds create waves. Strong winds can make big waves. Winds that blow for a long time in the one direction make great waves. Waves that are created miles away are refined and well spaced – ideal for surfing. I predict some great waves heading our way…This storm will pass tomorrow after stirring up the ocean, leaving us with a decent swell. So enjoy this weekend…hope you get a few as loads of places should be working.
