Let’s talk honestly… Bondi is great for so many reasons…beach culture, nightlife, vicinity to a major city, great galleries, youth, arts, energy…but it’s not well known for its waves. In fact, when I travel and tell people I live and surf in Bondi they have that disturbed look on their face and say…”you poor thing”. Bondi has waves most days, it’s a bit of a swell magnet especially from the south (great for running a daily blog)…but the waves are usually fat or closing out – rarely tubing. There’s pockets of gold, sometimes we get good sand and strong south swells…like today…good waves holding 6 foot on a shallow bank. Taj Burrow paddled out to sample a few…he found plenty of shacks.
The peak of the swell is now…tapering off for the rest of the week. Enjoy people.

not a great add for firewires!!!
Especially when one of they’re selling points is board strength!
Brilliant Uge esp Bondi Hook and Sky and Wave
why was Taj at bondi just wondering??
He is on his way to FIJI…flew in yesterday.
Those firewires are absolute rubbish..I hope u get every cent back from them, good luck though they are hopeless with customer service
why would ya get any money back? they don’t come with a no-snap guarantee. any board will break if it gets put in the right place.
Your right Billy..problem is Firewire boards are notorious for breaking in all conditions, short or longboard. They are rubbish
Awesome shots today – esp the last one – glassy under there!
Hey uge, in the photo “hollow rights, buried deep”, Is that the guy in the black and white wettie?
yeah mate thats you, you ate it hard on that wave. was good commitment, I was in the perfect place if you had come out of it……
Hmmm, I seem to have an impersonator…Real Uge here.
Haha – nice one!
Hi Uge ! Any chance you will be making a videocast of the Melbourne event ? I would love to attend but living in Europe makes it a bit far… Would be ready to pay a reasonable price to be able to watch. Cheers
Something about the Bondi hook photo, just can’t take my eyes off it … brilliant!
