You could have driven past the beach this morning, had a glance and kept driving on to work, thinking you’ve missed nothing. If you sat and watched it for 30 minutes you’d realise there were infrequent, rideable, but fun fat sets every now and then. Some 2 foot, some even 3 foot…you just had to be very patient. The conditions were fantastic as the sun was out with very little wind. It’s going to hit 23 degrees today – go outside.
Barney
The Australian Festival of Surfing was held at Port Macquarie last week. Local Bondi waterman Barney Quinlan took out Australia’s first Alaia title in 3 foot waves. Looks like all that training on lids, chopping boards and what not paid off Barney! Congrats. More
Death Slabs
This year’s Teahuppo Billabong Pro is going down in history as some of the most spectacular waves for a world tour stop. I mean seriously…just watch this to send a chill down your spine (25-30 foot tows at Chopes). The comp is NOW ON, watch it LIVE – wow!
