Western Australia is a HUGE place. It’s half the size of Europe!
W.A. boasts 12,500 kilometres of coastline and due to its sheer size has so much diversity. Every town we’ve visited in our WA jaunt has been unique.
Today we’re in Denmark, 4 hours drive from Margaret River. It’s a wild place – literally. As I write this post there’s a family of Emu’s nestled up next to the house. We see a dozen kangaroos every time we go down the driveway…(admittedly, the drive is about a kilometre long). The beaches are empty, remote, inaccessible and plentiful. There’s a Tingle Forrest down the road that has trees the size of Manhattan Skyscrapers. Some of those trees are wider than a bus!
For us, the highlight is the Greens Pools and Elephant Rocks. They’re spectacular.
In Denmark, we crashed at Parry Beach Breaks. Perfect! Everyone out this way is incredibly nice and hospitable.

P.S. Today’s shots are not taken with a drone – I’ve been dangling out the side of a plane. Call me old fashioned!
Denmark is the town where “Breath ” (with Simon Baker) the movie was shot, cool movie about surfie dudes, some drama in it for chix , watch it.
