Just another day in W.A…
Ningaloo Reef is 300 kilometres long and fringes the coast of the Cape Range National Park. You can stay in the park at one of the many campsites (very few hotels), or step it up at the Sal Salis…an eco-retreat with sixteen ‘Glamping’ tents, right on the beach. It’s a pretty amazing experience…waking up to ‘Roos, Dingoes and Wallabies at your tent door. The beach out front is world class and has an excellent snorkelling drift which goes for miles on the right tide. The reefs are in top shape, as they’re also inside a marine park and pretty much left untouched.
The weather has been spectacular, but there’s been wind…Western Australia is famous for its gales! If you’re chasing an endless summer – the Coral Coast is the spot.
Today we leave the far North-West of Oz and head deep south chasing waves. Margies, Denmark, Esperance – see you soon!
