Takes me ages to get around New Zealand. I’m late for every appointment here. I pack the rental full of cameras, pull out on the highway…and bam!…a mountain will be standing 1.5km tall, right next to the road waiting to be shot. Drive 2 clicks down the road and you get a view down a beautiful valley backed by snow capped mountains. Hook around the corner and there is an old fence post sprouting into a tree…in the middle of a lake! For a photographer, this area, Lake Wanaka and Queenstown is ultra stimulating. Not many places in the world have so much magic in such a small space.
I know a lot of you have been here – you know what I am talking about. Being under 3 hours from Sydney it’s a little leap over. I have to say, even after 4 trips here, I still find loads of new cool stuff.
