I’ve made my annual pilgrimage to the Mecca of surfing, Hawaii’s North Shore. I like it here. I hope you do too as the next few weeks of Aquabumps is going to be broadcasted from the rogue shores of this volcanic fiery island.
Upon arrival the surf has been pumping, of course. Not much going on under 6 foot and Pipe is putting on a real good show.

Uge, Do you sport the gath helmet when you are working the North Shore? It doesn’t look like any of the surfers are wearing them and all of the photogs are. What is the story?
Ed, I am not keen on helmets,but nearly all of the others do. Dunno…feels ok without one. Uge

That first photo is one of the sickest I reckon I’ve seen. That section, the tapering shape, the foreground. So flawless, makes you want to surf so much. chur
