Alex Knost @knostthankyou is a unique, loose, colourful Californian free surfer touring our East Coast. This morning, he popped up in Bondi parading some alternative surf vehicles with Patty from @sunburntmess.surf
I tried to drag Alex out the back; Bondi’s finest closeouts weren’t enough. He’s here celebrating his art exhibition opening at @chinaheights tomorrow night. Alex once lived in Bondi, saying it’s like Huntington, the most consistently breaking, rarely pumping, average surf in the world.
At 7am, I saw some really fun waves at Bondi… it was short-lived as the onshore winds arrived around 8am and started to mess up things. It’s been relentlessly onshore for most of this week. I reckon it will clean up on Monday.
