With the earth quake off New Zealand last night we’ve still got a Tsunami warning along our coastline. It couldn’t be any flatter though…dead calm.
Bondi had a 1-2 foot dribble that wasn’t very exciting to watch. Yawn. The storms on the horizon were probably the most entertaining thing down the beach this morning. Thick dark clouds loom over Ben Buckler threatening serious rain and lighting. There is word of a new south swell tomorrow, but it only has a period of 6 seconds that suggest a wind swell chop hop bonanza.
Icebergs pool cleaning day today…as it is every Thursday when they wash all the sand down the drain. Cracked me up as the cleaners had AC/DC blaring through the speakers as they sprayed.
28 year old Aussie Joel Parkinson has just won the 2009 Billabong Pro Jeffreys Bay in South Africa. That’s his third world tour victory this year alone as he pushes even further in front of the hungry top seeds. In good 3-5 foot surf at J-Bay as Parko defeated Damien Hobgood in the finals. 5 more tour stops to go for 2009 – Is this year Parko’s year? Looking good so far.
Last Hope is on tonight at the Waverly bowls tonight. Last Hope is an inspiring short film collective with a solid sound track. Go see, its good.
Better book your Mentawai boat trip for 2010 on Tengirri. Its filling up fast.
I LOVE your photos this morning. Especially second from the top – the long exposure wave with the headland and storm on the horizon. Great shot! 🙂
Thanks Rae.
Hope you’re going well and you’re getting some good shots lately, Cheers, uge
