Bondi Icebergs swimmers under fractured skies

scattered skies

What a fantastic weekend of waves in Sydney, Friday afternoon was talked up to be one of those mega-sessions. It just turned on. Manly, amongst many other breaks, was smoking. Well today it’s a totally different story as the waves has dribbled to a halt. Bondi was scrappin’ 1 – maybe the odd 2 footer. Lacking push – you’ll require a lengthy slab of fibreglass to catch most of them. Very clean conditions though.

The swell will continue to be small for most of this week (2ft), so have a distraction free working week.

The Rip Curl Pro in Bali has wrapped up as Bruce Irons has taken the 6th Tour event against fellow Hawaiian Fredrick Patacchia in the final. After this year Bruce is pulling back from the ASP world tour only competing a handful of events such as Pipe, Chopes – the places he’s into.

The waves might been far from spectacular this morning but the sunrise was quite incredible. The benefits of having no curtains is that you can see the thin cloud formations early enough to position yourself for a good shot. Scattered clouds littered the skies – a rainy change must be nearby. Enjoy this morning’s sunshine Later::uge
