Birpai country

G’day! I know – I know, Aquabumps posts have been lean this month, but our travels have been plentiful! Next week, we’ll return to the usual programming; don’t worry.

We’ve been exploring Birpai country, the northern coast of NSW, where the water is like a bath, and the points provide fun waves. This season has been odd, with tiny swells or giant storm chunks all in the same week. Either burning hot sunshine or pouring with rain for days – such contrasts and so very unpredictable.

We’ve been staying in style at the all-new, 1970s surf culture-inspired Sea Sea Hotel. Sea Sea is something new on the coast: arty, curated, eclectic, small (only 23 rooms), and it has exquisite food. The best part is it’s within walking distance of the waves in a sleepy surf town.

We Are Hiring: Full time Retail Manager at Aquabumps Bondi. For the first time in 12 years our most senior role on the team has come up for grabs. If you’re keen to run our B2C arm of Aquabumps, and love retail & galleries, read this job description and apply.

Have a good long weekend, with decent weather and warm water; I’m sure you’ll spend loads of time on the beach.
