Mondays are much quieter at Bondi, especially in contrast to that epic weekend of sunshine (and big crowds), just gone. Yesterday was amazing, with hints of summer.
Last night, we were served a fresh, long-period, south swell. An extended period means significant gaps between waves – so you can be sitting there, surfing 1-2 foot, then a 3-4 footer will roll in, closing out. (Exhibit a – Number 1 photo in today’s post)
Winds are currently NE 6 knots, typically of a Sydney sunny day.
This swell will hang around into Wednesday.

Nice one of the ship. That’s the 101 yr old barquentine ‘Southern Swan’. We headed north after watching two humpbacks playing, out beyond Bondi.
My 3 yr old son was steering the ship when that photo was taken.
