For a small beach, 900 metres to be exact, Bondi sure does get some powerful rips. You’ve seen ’em on the Bondi Rescue TV show – they’re real. The rip at 2nd ramp south Bondi has a bit on it! (makes for a good rip bowl though).
Today we’ve got waves in the waist to chest high range. 3 peaks, North, Mid and kinda South. South Bondi hasn’t been its usual self for 4 months – I miss it.
Swell has swung East, which means most beaches in Sydney have surf today. Classic colourful sunrise (6:10am) and a variety of light to work with. Water is still warm…
Gav’s a local council lifeguard and also a fruit and veg delivery guy. When he’s not saving lives he’s knocking on your door with fresh produce from the markets way out west. We’ve been supplied for years. It’s called Fruitman Sam, order your box online now.
Hard to believe one year ago today I was swimming in the most incredible sea cave, after the boat broke down, in Croatia. See post – Travel, remember that?
Adios, ugios
