Amateur Hour

I’ve been swimming and shooting with my camera for over two decades – I’m still learning things, every day.

Today I paddled out at dawn with a new rig, new lens and new technique to keep water off my port – ha! – well, that didn’t go as planned seeing every single shot is coated in sunburst bokeh. Amateur hour! I don’t mind a couple of sunlight bits, as I am always shooting directly into the sun – but today’s a bit O.T.T.

Waves are small, 2 foot. Bondi was incredibly quiet in the water – barely anyone around, maybe it was a cold start. The dash across the sand before sunrise was invigorating…toes just thawing out. Fantastic conditions – sunshine is plentiful and winds gentle.

Hopefully tomorrow I will have worked it out a lot better! :: uge

P.S. was in the city all weekend – some snaps right on the end.

P.P.S 1 year ago today, we just arrived at Milos, Greece. See post

    1. Was 70-200mm today, no canon R5, just yet, but soon!
I have shot with R5, for 1 hour, VERY NICE – but hard to get
