Fire, flood, smoke…and now fog. What next? Tropical Cyclones? (more on that in a bit).
Sydney’s beaches were shrouded in thick fog this morning. I couldn’t see the surf or surfers let alone shoot it.
The word on the street is that there are great waves, but wobbly, in particular exposed breaks like Maroubra/Tamarama/Manly. Bondi is smaller (as it faces the wrong way) but still has a shoulder-high set. That wonderful left at North Bondi looks too small…but wow, how good was it this week, what a treat.
Heavy rain is heading in our direction as Tropical Cyclone Uesi approaches from a soggy Queensland. Tomorrow and Friday will be wet. Saturday the swell will be huge again. Beach erosion will still be a problem as we have rather large high tides (just gone full moon on Feb 9). So, today’s a good day to fix those leaks on the roof before it pours!
Valentine’s day is Friday – I will scribble a romantic note in any Beach Blog Book purchased before Friday midnight, hell, and will even ship it for free (Globally). Use the code “LoveMe20” upon check out in our online store, in the gift card field to score free shipping!
