I roamed around the beaches of the east this morning in search for something surfable. Bondi was looking terrible (7am)…onshore and a 2 foot shorey. Bronte had the only wave going – but was…um…not that great. 2-3 foot, bumpy with short rides.
Thank god for this south change which has cooled down the land temperatures and finally a wind that is not from the north. Lets hope this new south swell forms into something worth talking about later today. The forecast is for it to double in size this afternoon (9.8 sec period later today from 5.3!) – I’d call 3-4 footers. Surf those protected corners, Bondi, Bronte and a mate has called me from Manly saying there is something cooking over there. South swell all week long.
Rather that show you 5 images from this morning when it was grey, mushy, onshore and not really happening – here is some random archival revival from Jan 2009.
Hitler in the Mentawais
In the past 2 days I think 100 people have emailed me a link to a funny Surfing Life video – “Hitler’s Surf trip to the Mentawais is ruined”…it’s hilarious. Clever boys ASL.
Beautiful photo of Henry and friend. Even from behind he’s totally recognisable as the Bondi legend he is.
How much are the ” Impusle pool shoot” prints?
Thanks,
D
Briza – yep henry is a legend – one of the nicest people down at Bondi in the mornings
Destin, I was commissioned to do this shoot there fore would need to seek special permission from the girls in the shots first before selling them to you. Which ones are you interested in? they would be the same rate as the other shots in my BUY PRUINTS section if available. thanks, eugene
