It was a sea of Fluro this morning as the OneWave crew celebrated ten years of supporting mental health in the community. They attempted to join North Bondi with South Bondi in a human chain (with the odd Mexican wave). Good to see all the other groups like 440, Salties, Clubbies, all joining in.
The surf didn’t look attractive, with small 1-2ft waves suffering on lower tides. It also looked a little wind affected as the southerly chimes in. Give it a miss.
Two Aussie surfers, Letty Mortensen and Fraser Dovell, hit the Russian shores in search of perfect winter waves amidst an outbreak of war in Ukraine. Film-maker Spencer Frost and Guy Williment created “The Corners of the Earth” feature film depicting the adventure. It is showing at the Randwick Ritz tonight at 6:30 pm.
