Yesterday was pretty special down at Bondi. Good times…this consistent new south swell is full of grunt and paired with a northerly wind – just perfect. Unfortunately it got too big for Bondi this morning and was predominantly closing out (and its still getting bigger).
The peak in the middle was the better option. Its just such a treat to have some decent waves around the place…so best enjoy them. So many places would have a wave today.
NE winds are going to kick up this afternoon (max 23 knots). That ain’t good – so before the wind blows would be best time to hit it. If my car hadn’t broke down I would have definitely shot off to a joint that can hold 4-5 foot solid south swell.
High tide: 8:15am, Low tide: 2:50pm – water is ridiculously warm – 22-23 degrees (boardies). Becareful of the Blue Bottles, on Saturday the peak was cleared with a million blueys…
There should be waves all week – nice::uge
Uge – your first photo captures the guy who lives on Bondi cliff. What’s the go there with that guy? Given how tough the council is with almost everything else, how has the poor guy manage to bunker down there for so long without getting moved on??
i think he got through a loophole in the system, because he has been living there for like more then 15 years or something
so techincally the council cannot evict him
and a few years back i think there was a petition or something
I am not Really sure Zac…he was supposed to leave but I think the locals kicked up such a big stink it just didn’t happen.
