1st light before a grey day

chop hop

Bit of a non-event down the beach this morning (wave-wise). 1 foot chop broke close to shore, yep, there were still a few people out scrappin’ for the-chop-of the-day. Interesting cloud formations at sunrise before a thick blanket of south change brought rain, wind and cooler temperatures. South winds will howl 20/30 knots later today so I hope you brought the washing in. That blow will bring some windswell for tomorrow as Bondi will be back in the 3-4 foot bracket.

Moral of the story – tomorrow we may have a sloppy wave peeps. Later, uge

  1. I saw what looked like a large zorb on the water – south end, out from Iceburgs. Around 8am. I think a peep was frolicking in it. Had hoped you captured it through your lens….

  2. That bubble is a part of the upcoming Scultpures By the Sea. It will be around for a while…so no rush getting a shot on a grey day. Will get one though. uge

  3. Swimming the bay today with the old codgers from the surf club and there’s billions of translucent jelly strips in the water, with little blue dots inside.

I dunno if they’re little jelly fish or fish spores but you have to fight through them in spots, they are just everywhere. They don’t sting.

Maybe one of your readers knows what they are?
