The mornings are the best part of the day – no doubt’n that. No phones, no emails, no hassles – well sometimes a drunken fool left over from Bondi hotel will ask for a light – but that’s about it (oh and there’s always Wal). I’ve seen the same people for the past 10 years at sunrise – all performing their morning rituals. Some surf, some try to surf, some sweat it out in Bootie camps, some swing a sword around with Tai Chi…others just face the cliff meditating (Luke). Whatever you did this morning – what a stunning sunrise. Fragmented clouds scatter the horizon…and a bonus to have a little bump pump the odd 2 footer into the corner. Heaven. Small and weak waves though – so no rushing down.
NE winds will howl at 20-25 knots this afternoon. 27 degree maximum today. Swell arriving later in the week – maybe as early as Thursday now. Until then, small conditions will prevail.
Quiksilver Pro at Goldie is on hold again today due to small conditions both at Snapper and DBah.
