This morning I went for my routine swim to assess the surf and water conditions for you. It was real pretty at 6:45am…some amazing colours scattered across the skies. The water was warm and semi-clear. The waves were a small, 1-2 foot and lacking substance. Swell arrives tomorrow…phew.
I spent 30 minutes chasing string rays, mapping sand banks and freaking out surfers by surfacing in random locations. I strongly recommend going for a swim now before the strong 20 knot southerly hits town.
Did you know Australian photographer has claimed the world record price for a print? A bargain at $7.85 million AUD. The image is called ‘Phantom’ which is causing quite the stir in the art world as now one knows who the phantom buyer is (excuse the pun). So once you’ve forked out nearly 8 mil for your photo you may be interested in Peter’s 25 million dollar Hawaiian holiday house which is on the market. Big biccies! Read SMH

Beautiful shots Uge but you’re too late for the dawn crew – the 5:30am – 6:30am shift. The early bird catches the worm and there are some beautiful early birds!!!
Peter Lik seems like a rather humble fellow
Love the wave and the coloured sky, beautiful!
