Crazy windy and wild out there this morning. Getting up to 40 knots of S/SW winds today – that’s enough wind to take your Sulo Bin down the street spewing its contents into your neighbours yard.
Swell has jacked up to the 8 foot range. Exposed beaches like Bondi had clean up bombs breaking across the bay – quite a sight. 1 guy paddled out in the south corner – got smashed…then returned back to shore. Another guy jumped off ‘The Boot’, hooked a fat bomb, but didn’t look like he was having much fun.
Very few surf breaks would be working today. Serious southerly protection required. Tomorrow the winds should pull back a tad…wait until it calms down.

nice images today uge, elements in the raw, they have a nice old world feel to them.
Thanks Richo. I know you love your black and whites.
Good to see more black and whites Uge, these photos look great.
Uge, great images, the first three. I agree with my old whale beach bro Richo. The longer exposure of the pool shot is perfect to catch the water over the edge and the motion of the wave in the middle without losing enough detail in the broken water, having the pool empty was a blessing! Wave smashing at the northern end gives great scale, is that a guy out in the middle? Next time I am down that way I will go into the gallery hoping to see that one wall size, with a little more burning of the background to lift the buildings. Choice of B and W makes it. LOVE IT.
