As promised the swell went from nought to hundred overnight. Yesterday’s Lake Bondi is now a cracking 6 foot solid with the odd stand up barrel. It’s not perfect…many waves are shuttin’ down and some are very wonky with new-swell-morning-sickness…but at least you’ll get the blood pumping on this freezing Thursday morning.
If are lucky enough not to be working today I’d be heading to a exposed beach with banks or a bit of reef whilst its offshore and sunny. Either south or north.
Bondi Surf Company, at 72-76 Campbell Parade Bondi, are having a renovation sale – 20% off wetsuits and up to 50% off clothing. (get some warm duds!)
Tomorrow it will be smaller but more organised…how cold is it?? Let’s head back to the tropics ::uge
Noice!!! Have a coffee and a dotch to stretch the lungs out first!
Good Boy Si. Hope you’re cuttin’ back on the Dotches since returning to Vietnam
What’s with the tent city along the cliffs in your first photo this morning? Is this all homeless people?
Its the controversial homeless person who has been up there for years.
Bondi Cave man – aka Jhyimy “Two Hats” Mhiyle.
If you’d like to know more about the homeless guy (Jhyim) that lives on the cliff at south bondi – here are some shots of him –
