We have swell – tick. 3 footers at Bondi but it’s really quite messy and the incoming high tide was puttin’ plenty of pork into a chubby Bondi. By 10am it was merely a fat high tide shorey, but as we approach the 5pm low tide it should break out the back again. Cool weather and rain (max 20). 20-30 knots of southerly – hit the protected corners and tomorrow should be better with lighter winds and decent south swell. Big chunk of sand in the southern corner from 2 weeks of NE winds. Good, might get a bank.
The Beauty of Italian Women
A lifetime ago I updated Aquabumps from a small Italian coastal town called Vernazza. There were no waves…but I featured a young Italian swimmercam, Chiara, who stirred up hundreds of emails from Aquabumps readers. This went on for months in admiration of the young lass…I have a confession, I didn’t take the shot…I was travelling with Julie Adams, a very famous fashion/portrait photographer who was documenting the beauty of Italian women with the dream of having an exhibition – one day. Well, 6 years later Joolz is opening her 1st show “The Beauty of Italian Women” tonight at Blank Space which runs until the 18th Feb 2009. Shark Attack in the Harbour
7am this morning a navy diver was attacked by a Bull Shark and is now in a serious condition at St Vini’s. The 31 year old diver tried to fight off the shark several times before being bitten. More on SMH
