I check out bumps every day , I also surf bondi everyday (not dawn patrol) I can,
its true uge summer is here and so are people’s attitudes. I was surfing far south today the waves didn’t look as good as the other bank but thought I’d rather avoid the crowd. Turned out to be ok. I was dumb founded when some guy had a go at me for going the ‘wrong direction’ on a wave ! ‘Why go right when its closing out that way ’…I couldn’t believe it. I didn’t drop on him, I wasnt snaking or hassling ,only about three or four crew that far south at this point and this guy caught at least twenty waves that I saw. I can understand frustration when you not getting any waves but this was a new one to me and surfed bondi for years. So I went frontside not backside, and would have had a longer ride backside shot me. One reason I love to surf is clearing you mind of all the troubles of daily life for a few hours. I wouldn’t even mind if he had tried talking to me instead of being aggressive. This guy was in his fifties old enough to act like man. I recently lost a friend to cancer and just wanted to surf two foot at my local in peace. To much to ask it seems.

Hey Sad, Bondi is one of the most crowded surf beaches in the world. This is going to happen so I wouldn’t get too down about it. If you want a peaceful surf, there is another beach over the hill that has no one.
