Lately we’ve had a plethora of small wave days, so it was nice to wake up to 3-4 foot drainers in the south. The changing seasons always bring better surf to Bondi…
Today’s waves are from a long range, decent period, south swell, that will build during the day. The tricky bit will be the banks, can they handle anything bigger than what I saw this morning? Probably not…so expect lots of closeouts.
It’s onshore, but not too strong, just how I like it. The crowds were manageable and the super late sunrise kept many in bed. A left in the corner had drainers, hope the first boardriders of 2025 (this Sunday) has waves like today!
