Tropical Cyclone Alfred remains stalled 195 km off the coast of Brisbane, increasing the suspense of this significant weather event. It should hit landfall tomorrow morning.
Alfredo, now a Category 2 storm, is causing significant disruptions to our northern neighbours: over 1,000 schools in southeast Queensland are closed, public transport services in Brisbane have been suspended, power outages, and several communities have issued evacuation orders.
While Sydney is not in the direct path of Cyclone Alfred, we will experience some bad weather, mainly on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. Monday, in particular, will be wet.
Anyhow, down at Bondi this morning, we’ve got a plethora of Blue Bottles & head-high onshore mush – no one out. Indeed, that bad combo is offputting enough for you to directly visit your local coffee shop! It isn’t a beach day!
I shot two portraits today—the rest are from last weekend when I got lost on the Northern Beaches!
Queenslanders and Northern Rivers crew – hang in there, stay inside.
