It was a pretty stock standard Bondi morning…
The sunrise was shrouded with morning clouds, typical for this time of year. The Aquabumps Skydeck at South Bondeye was full of crew, phones out, ready to capture the marvellous start to this day.
Icebergs is choccas, laps galore whilst the sand was a hive of activity, boot camps, volleyballers, swim squads and now a few fire twirlers thrown in the mix. The ice bathers were having a day off.
The waves have cleaned up, and a rip bowl in the middle was spitting out some unmakeable tube/closeouts. The groms had a crack but rarely made it – faster than an Abu Dhabi wave pool.
It’s a SE south, and waves are in the head-high range. The morning was cool, but the water remained warm and inviting. It’s turning into an exquisite day with 24 degrees and sunny. Just perfect. Perfect!
See you down the beach!
