It’s Monday, and a cold one, the water seemed deserted of swimmers and surfers. It’s pretty incredible what a few degrees make. Scroll back a few posts, and the bay was littered with human frothers. (see post)
At sunrise, it was 17-18 degrees, the first time I’d put on a jumper in a while. The water remained a balmy 21-22.
A fresh southerly has kicked up as I write this update. It’s 15-plus knots and making a bit of a mess. There’s plenty of size—3-5 foot range—odd more significant set.
Congrats, Italo and Caity, for winning the 2nd tour stop, Abu Dhabi Wave Pool. The new pool looks amazing, but I keep falling asleep watching the heats; it’s a tad repetitive when man-made, and barrels aren’t that exciting when they are on que.
