Six weeks. That’s how long it’s been since my last Bondi post. I really enjoyed roaming the remote southwest of WA and the north coast of NSW – surfing remote beachies, dirt tracks and glorious hot days.
After celebrating our 25 years of continuous shooting, blogging, and Bondi-ing, it was a much-needed reset.
This morning, I rolled back into Bondi’s hive of activity. Even on grey days, it’s busy around here. There were waves today! 2—3-footers and decent before the winds came in early. Big junkie now.
There’s still plenty of sand up top, which blew up onto the promenade after the recent storms, but the machines are busy putting it all back together, ready for the next big gale! Mother nature is always the boss.
I hope 2025 is a cracker and you enjoy Aquabumps. I plan to move around more than in previous years, showing you beaches from all over the city, state and country. If you’ve got some favourite spots you’d love to feature, pop it into the comments.

Uge, would love to see you work your magic on the stretch from Trigg to Hillarys, the colours of the reefs and contrast against the sandy bottom in full WA sunshine is epic.
where I grew up surfing! good idea!
Lord Howe Island is an absolute gem and so close to Sydney. Not much surfing but incredible marine life for diving and snorkelling. The island biodiversity is pretty awesome too 🙂
We love Lord howe and have shot there, have you seen our posts? https://www.aquabumps.com/?aqquery=lord%20howe&aqtype=product&aqpage=1
