I made the dash across the country, caught a direct flight from Sydney to Busselton, and fanged it further south to the remote town of Denmark (WA) —the land of the giant forests – the glorious Australia’s South West.
This area has to be one of Australia’s most naturally gifted regions—there are so many stunning beaches of a world-class level—and they’re empty, too!
The watercolours (and clarity) down south are remarkable, with a rare hue of blue. It’s a raw place, and the weather can be dramatic – when the wind blows, it howls!
We’re living off-grid, tucked up in luxurious tiny cabins on a corner of an 880-acre working cattle farm adjacent to the beach—the simple life. It’s very relaxing, sleeping under the stars, hearing the Roos shuffle around us in the night. If you’re keen, check out Heyscapes – they’re popping up all over regional WA.
We are still shipping, daily, our latest book “25 Laps Around The Sun” – celebrating 25 years of lunatic capture.
