Colour Blaze

Sydney was gifted a blaze of colour at dawn – it was pretty special. It stopped everyone in their tracks, phones out, selfies galore…you’re probably still swiping through the sea or sunrise content from today.

What was impressive was that it was a full sky curtain of super intense pinks. Often, we get bits and pieces igniting, but today, it was a full sky colour spray.

The surf was not so impressive, and it was the first lay day in aaaages. Many of you have been slacking off and surfing all day, so it’s time to man the desks and pretend to be working. Surely, you’re due back in the office for your monthly stationery restock!

This huge high-pressure hot air mass is freaky for this time of year but comfortable at 28 degrees. The gale force winds are not so comfortable. Have you found your washing in your neighbours? They always knew you wore those little leopard skin numbers…

Until tomorrow…

RIP Benny
Ben Lucas was a gentleman, he was a frother, a teacher, a surfshop owner who surfed daily on some very unusual looking surf craft. Over the years we’ve had many dawn chats. you’ll be missed my friend around here. RIP.

  1. Vale’ Benny!!
You will be missed by the old Bondi crew and the South South Bra crew!
Your surf shop was Bondi’s alternative meeting place for all craft unusual and interesting.
    Thanks for the post Uge!

  2. Oh no! I was initially so stoked to see Benny’s smiling face – a total blast from the past…but so sorry to see the RIP! He was most definitely a cheerful soul who added colour to Bondi’s morning pilgrimage. Xo
