The conditions aligned for a large Bondi crowd this morning. Quite a special morning with lots of waves, everywhere I swam. The golden winter light was the icing on the cake! So good!
This fresh batch of south swell will only get bigger as the period jumps to 13 seconds. Hopefully, it won’t get too big, as our delicate little sand banks can’t handle too much.
After a seven-year hiatus, the WSL tour will finally compete in FIJI, which, in my mind, is one of the best tour stops of all time. Unfortunately, the forecast looks small, so the small wave tricksters will dominate with airs and hacks instead of enormous caverns. My money is on Gabs, Jack or Yago – and definitely gold medalist Marks.
