Onshore Flow

The onshore pattern continues today and will hang around for days to come.

Earlier, the winds were light so that you could find the odd clean face; now it’s 11 knots onshore and probably a tad junkie. Waves broke around head high, few rip bowls littered up on the beach.

Quiet morning at Bondi, the darker mornings deter many.

Showers and rain still forecast for another week or more. Hooray!

  1. Hate to be a pedant but that aircraft could not be bound for Lord Howe. It is a DHC 400 (74 passengers) operated by QantasLink and needs a longer runway than Lord Howe’s rather short one. They reserve the DHC 200 (36 passengers) for that purpose. I regularly flew the Sydney – Lord Howe route for 18 years. A pretty magical place with a nice little wave to boot. There is always an offshore wind somewhere on the island.
