I’m back in the hood and enjoying the glorious sunshine. Lap it up my friends, as starting tomorrow, the weather will decline into showers, and from Friday onwards, it will be super wet!
A pink hue surrounded Ben Buckler’s pre-rise as unsurfable 1-2 footers shut down—straight as a ruler. Several people tried to negotiate the low tides, but it’s unworkable. I saw plenty drilled into the sand, face first (quite dangerous). Higher tides will be more conducive to fun surfing. (12:30 pm high tide today)
The surf will go onshore tomorrow but get bigger. I’d expect a week of bad weather and onshore mush – so head down, be productive and crank the work out.
Support Surfaid via Aquabumps Groms
My boys – Spike, Jet, Will and I (The Aquabumps Groms) need your support. It’s the one time a year we raise valuable funds for our leading charity, Surfaid, during the Bondi Surfaid Cup, which is being held on Friday, May 17th, 2024.
Surfaid helps remote communities where we often surf in Indonesia to access basic services like healthcare, clean water and food security.
Please donate here ($20 or more), and you’ll be entered to win a $1500 Aquabumps artwork. Just ask Michelle Baker-Barden, who won last year’s artwork of her choice—how stoked was she!
