What a morning! Optimal temperatures in and out of the water, while the bay was glassy and windless—for a moment at sunrise.
There was an enormous early morning crowd again. The lineup was jammed, ice bathers were packed, and Bergs was full as Bondi was in high gear.
Did you miss it? It’s too late now; the southerly is howling at 18 knots and looking untidy. It’s still surfable, but not as pleasant.
An early morning high tide was porking up the waves, so don’t expect to get barrelled, but at least it’s not closing out. I saw the Earthmovers on the sand today – hopefully, some rearrangement will be fruitful and provide a bank that works on all tides (not just high).
The rip between Ramp 2 & 3 is outrageous. Don’t swim there. I did multiple laps out the back before snagging any shots. Good exercise.
