It’s a very unimpressive day outside in Sydney. Rain dominates the landscape; weirdly, I’m wearing a jumper in summer.
The beach looked deserted with small waves under a southerly siege.
Unfortunately, Christmas Day looks to be similar to today’s weather setup.
I’ve shot a lot recently, and here are some recent images that have not graced the pages of Aquabumps. It’s a mixed batch with some Bondi, Bronte, and PNG.
Rotto – Port-To-Pub Ocean Swim
In W.A., they’ll do anything to get to the pub; they’ll even swim from Leighton Beach (Perth’s Port) to Rottnest Island (The Pub). It’s a gruelling 19.7km (or 25km ultramarathon) in some of the bluest water in Oz on 16 March 2024. I’ve only waterskied the channel as a kid, but it’s something on my bucket list. More information
Stay dry, and good luck finding a park at the shopping centres! We’re open 10-6, and Bondi is dead quiet; you can park out the front. We can issue a gift card on the spot or online.
