After a rainy Saturday, the masses flocked to a sunny Sunday in Bondi. It was quite a lot to get your head around, and sometimes, it felt a little out of control.
Let me talk you through what I witnessed: On the point, the Chilean DJ had a crack at another rave party, but the police calmed that down after 15 minutes – they even closed Ramsgate, which became a pedestrian mall. The bongos went next level, and they’d now relocated to the shoreline. A guy was pepper sprayed and arrested on the prom whilst a large vegan protest was pushed right up into your grill – I kept getting harassed for what I was eating for dinner?!@#!$. (Probably not the best time to talk about my salubrious Beef Boganoff Fusion – that’s only when assailants are hiding in our backyard from the cops – refer to this post). Every few minutes, 5-0 sirens sang out, and bikies and spinning rims trampled Campbell parade. Anita Ice Cream’s queue wrapped the block, and Glory Dayz new upper Pav bar had a Nammos table dancing vibe.
Monday. Ah Monday, quiet, calm and local. Only a few surfers are on it with onshore conditions. Waist to shoulder high (finally some swell), but surely you’ve got more production things to do on a Monday! Like Christmas shopping at Aquabumps Gallery! hahah.
