Beam me up, Scottie

Bondi was a little uninspiring this morning, photographically that is. Check out this IG story timelapse, it shows me sitting around waiting for it to go full-bloom pinks – as it looked to have potential around 6:30 am – before going all 50 shades of grey on me around 7:10 am.

The surf was junkie, onshore and 3-4 foot. Our gallery manager Tyson paddled out to sample, catching only a few waves before returning to shore complaining of the conditions. I do think the earlier massive tide would have made it worse. It would have improved since then.

If I could be anywhere this morning, transport me to Newcastle – Mereweather Beach, where all the big names have been warming up for the inbound WSL event. It’s not often we have JJF, Italo, Gabs, Yago, Ryan all on our beaches boosting. If Scottie couldn’t send me that far, I would’ve settled with Manly where it would be head-high and clean as.

Grass is always greener! There’s always tomorrow.
