What a fantastic morning outside. We’re looking at another warm 21-degree day. Enjoy it as some cooler weather approaching for the weekend.
The waves were OK(ish). There’s stuff for you to paddle onto, but the banks just don’t seem to want to co-operate. The odd rip-bowl has some goodness, otherwise, it was pretty straight.
Drone Fishing?
Yesterday I was surfing Tamarama on Summers Reef, and a fisherman flew a drone over my head and dropped his fishing tackle, in front of the pack. Weird! My next wave I had to man-handle his line, just to make it down the line! Weird. What spun us out – he continued to do this. Pretty big ocean out there!

I get asked a lot if I sell my old camera gear as I am continually upgrading. Yes, I do, and today I’ve put 12 lenses on eBay (sorry no “buy now” pricing – just have a bid). Some of my gear is lightly used, some I’ve used all the time – Canon glass – which will last forever. The 100-400mm Canon shot most of my aerial series, the Canon 200-400mm has shot thousands of surfing pics shown here daily, the 50mm Canon has taken hundreds of portraits and water shots, and I’ve got some Phase One Medium Format lenses in there that I’ve barely shot with.
