Heading Home…

After surfing 26 surf breaks in 12 days we’re now heading home. We’re done. Cooked. Spaghetti arms.

I haven’t worn shoes or touched dry land since May. And barely any mobile reception – it feels good to get off the grid.

Today I’ve switched on my computer and have dozens of messages saying they wanna holiday like this one. You can! You’re allowed. You need to take 2 flights from Sydney, Jakarta then onto Padang (port). We’ve been on the MV Ratu Motu, which is the pinnacle of charter boats in the Mentawais. It’s pure luxury (the old True North). The trick to these trips is booking them 1 year out and I bring 12 mates every year. If you want more info, contact Lisa at Ratu Motu.

The Bondi Show continues on Monday. See you then.

P.S. Some of today’s images were shot by the assistant captain, Darren Stockwell.

This image pretty much sums up our trip!

  1. Thank you so much Uge! We love having you guys on board and can’t wait to chat to you on your return. I’ve set aside some dates for 2019 (…we still need to get Deb over to Raja Ampat and Greater Halmahera!)
