When I left Queenstown it was snowing, right down at town level. Amazing. Only happens twice a year. When I arrived in Bondi the colours were going crazy in the morning sunrise. Rare. It’s like they were competing. Two very special places putting on their best.
We had a great time in New Zealand last week. The family came on this trip and I recommend it for a kid-friendly holiday. My groms had a ball. Flights under 3 hours, ski fields like Cardrona which are so well equipped for the little ones. We stayed at the Sherwood in Queenstown (has a good restaurant) and Edgewater in Wanaka. Heli ski was with Harris Mountain Heli and tours were with Aspiring Heli. Mons Royale have the best merino thermals and I was into the North Face Snow outers. We flew over the ditch with Air New Zealand which were amazing. There is so much snow at the moment that even a weekend is totally doable. (like going to Byron for the weekend)
Big swell coming to Sydney mid week. What a great winter it’s been for surfers.
