This week has been awesome on the North Shore.
The weather and winds have been behaving nicely. Here’s the highlights.
Wanna come here? Sure thing. It’s good. We come every winter. It can get big though…real big…but you can (nearly) always find somewhere to surf. Yes it is crowded, very, and the people here can really surf well. Be patient, you’ll get sumpin’. My tip would be rent a car – and you can drive far away from the crowds if you need to.
Hope all is well back in the ‘hood.
The winner of our artwork giveaway (worth $2950) is Thierry Faure. Congrats. You’ve just scored big time! Our gallery will be in touch.

Sorry, typo today. Carissa not Clarissa. Late night after being in the sun all day! Tough, I know. uge
Hi Uge,
I am a HUGE fan of your work from way back when the emails first started rolling in and inspiring my day! Thank you for sharing your talent. I have many of your pictures, large and small in my Coogee pad 🙂
My main question is this, as a family of avid surfers, body bashers, ocean swimmers and mermaids – big and small, we are heading to the north shore in September (yes I know the flat season! but my kids are still little 6 and 9, and its a family holiday) Any tips on good accommodation options on the north shore? My partner and I want to check it out to return in the winter the following year so its a bit of a recky first.
Any help would be awesome!!
Have fun and thanks again for the amazing images…!
Kirsty
