That big, black storm arrived last night. Unfortunately I didn’t get any images of it’s dramatic arrival as I was stuck in a car, in traffic (I do leave Bondi, sometimes – to go to Bondi Junga of course). It’s raining on Aquabumps HQ at the moment and it looks like there is plenty of precipitation to go. I’d settle indoors and flick into work mode.
Waves? I saw some this morning. I came to the conclusion that they were rather uninteresting at 2-3 foot…wobbly…and from the South. Not many takers. This afternoon the swell will kick up and tomorrow will be 6 foot with SW winds.
I still have Gig’s and Gigs of aerial images shot above the Eastern suburbs beaches on Saturday. Had to run a few more today…
If you’re keen to go to the Mentawais our buddies on Tengirri are taking bookings for 2015. I’ve already locked my 2015 trip in. Contact the boys and see what slots they have free. You will not regret it.

Hi Uge when you were up in the helicopter the other day I thought you’d get the guy on the SUP with the dog on the front _ he went right across the bay… looked like Dave?
Uge hates SUP riders
Na, don’t hate em.
They are way too dangerous to be out at Bondi though (with Crowds)
2 weeks ago, on a small day, packed with kids and people a guy fell off his SUP out the back taking off on a steep 1 footer…the board had no leg rope.
It tumbled and tumbled, cleaning up everything in it’s path like a bull dozer. So dangerous.
Seriously, no leg rope either. What a kook. Have people no consideration for anyone else’s safety. Ignorant as shit.
Great view of the bowls.
Great pics Uge, keep up the good work!
Do you think its intentional the Bondi Bowl looks like a falic
