My van looks suss at the best of times…people think it’s a ASIO abduction van and the side door will swing open snatchin’ your children. Well today is looked extra suss with a 600mm lens gorking out the side door. When I tried to explain to the morning walkers that I was shooting surfing pics, dressed all in black, I got the nod of “oh yeah right – weirdo”.
So all these images are shot from the back seat of the gallery delivery van (due to incessant rain). It’s amazing how many angles you can actually get from the same place (using a variety of lenses of course).
The swell has dropped, the winds are offshore(ish) SW and it’s a lot neater today – but still not perfect. Waves are 3 foot – worth a paddle out for sure.

hey uge, love that ‘droplets’ shot. what lense filters are you using?
No filers used on that droplets shot.
oooh the suspense! I would love to know what happend or see an after shot of image 17663.
what was the outcome to the, it’s about to get complicated, image?
I didn’t see a big biff in the water after that head on collison…think they were both communicating poorly.
Do you have a mattress in the back… you know… to protect your boards? : )
Hey Leroy, Ha! yeah, always…velvet on the walls as well.
It’s Ok Uge just embrace your inner ASIO
