I am not a morning person. Swear. Even after 11 years of waking up at sunrise it’s a major effort to roll out of bed in the wee hours (especially on these sleepless humid nights). But I have to say, mornings like these make it all worthwhile. Salubrious 23-24 degree water (that’s as warm as it gets), no wind and bakin’ sunshine – doesn’t get any better. Well, I guess a 3-4 peak in the south corner wouldn’t hurt. Forget surfing – it’s a lake. The bra may have water moving – but I don’t think it will be substantial.
In stark contrast to our flat spell, I just check the Hawaiian surf report for today/yesterday. It went a little something like this:
“15-18ft west swell, occasionally 20 foot, light winds NE, air temp: 25 degrees, water: 27 degree” Is that some sort of sick joke? Let’s go!

Mate these images are beautiful and I appreciate your work but I can’t quite get past the usage of the heavy vignetting with these shots.

Love them all – especially ‘Late for work’!
It is pictures like these that make me so angry with myself for just not getting out of bed this morning.

Here in Cape town after moving from Bondi / Clovelly / Bra and missing the ease of warm water and boardies. can you believe the water actually gets colder here in the summer? Currently hovering about the 13c mark and 34 air temp! Current conditions: Clean off shore, 12 – 15ft with 18ft sets… Hummm.
Great pics of the beach, want to see more man
