With all this south swell you’d expect to find something decent to surf. Well..not really in the eastern suburbs. Its just doesn’t seem to be happening along our chunk of coastline.
Bondi had the odd decent wave, barely anyone out, so if you want to surf 4-5 Bondage on your own, today is your day. Pick your waves, most close out, some eventuate.
The highlight of the morning has to be this thumpin’ splash of vivid colour around 6:10am. It was an increeeeedible sunrise today. Much earlier than other days (as the seasons change). The burning inferno of pinks and oranges filled the skies for 15 minutes before dulling down to monochrome in seconds. An elderly lady stood next to me whilst I shot these pics and said ‘it just doesn’t look real’…yes, it doesn’t. Best sunrise in 2 years I say, and when I get those slabs of 6×17 velvia developed lets pray I had the settings right on the old girl.
Noticeboard
If you haven’t noticed, there is a new noticeboard on the latest version of Aquabumps. It’s been a hive of activity since launch. Mainly for people seeking accommodation and flatmates. If you need to sell something, buy something, or rent something, have a quick look. (its free to use)
Dion Agius has been floating around Bondi last week. No, not for the recent swell as he’s been out of the water for 4 months with a broken bone and snapped tendon in his foot. The little aerial master will be back flying high soon.
can you make it a wallpaper????
Hey there, Another cracking email from you this morning to remind us office bound plebs what we’re missing out there in the real world. Quick question, is there any way to see from the data on the photos etc what camera setting you used to shoot them?? Or is that always kept “top secret?”
Regards
Rodger From Penrith ( fellow photographer)
