Aahhh yes…what a weekend. A brief interlude into summer. Saturday was cookin’ with 30+ degrees, clear skies, small NE swell and only 30,000 people on Bondi beach (no exaggeration).

Hurricanes packed, Ravesis over flowing, BRH ridiculous…everyone turns the happy dial up a couple. Rrrrrppt (that’s meant to be a record player needle scratching). “Looks like the sharks are chasing a large school of Salmon lurking around Mackenzie’s bay” says Dean. “Damn shark popped up next to the ski before getting lost in my wash”.
Lifeguard Dean said the sharks hung around for while – the chopper giving directions to the skis from the air. Swimmers were evacuated for 1 hour…then all back to normal. Well sort of…
Back to the waves. After last nights cooling south change, we’re left with little joy in the wave department. That weekend’s ENE windswell has dissipated and we’ve got waist high shorey scratchers…looked a little better around 9am, slightly bigger…but hey, its wind scraps. Later, ::uge
