The old fisheye in the tube chestnut. This Bali island paradise turns it up a few notches today. I’m not talking Ku De Ta at 3am or M-Bargo…the promised swell has finally arrived after days of smallness. The peninsula lit up…lines of perfect swells queuing at multiple breaks, biggest was at Ulus 5-6 foot. Not a good day for most euro beginners who I found washed up after bingles with the reef (there are more beginners than Bondi here at the moment). Ulus isn’t as forgiving as North Bondi that’s for sure.
The Rip Curl Padang Padang Comp starts today (waiting period), hopefully some chunks will be sneaking into that corner – the island’s well known pipe and proving ground for the local rippers. Every camera, shredder and his dog will be hitting it if its on.
Today is the last report from this Indonesian pearl. I’ve been staying at the Ghee-ghee mega top of the wozza pad Bali Sentosa villas which officially open in Dec 2006. You really need to check it out – website – doo it doo it.
