Curl Curl 8am, waist high waves, small
+ crowded
The bumps took a trip up to Curl Curl to find small waist high waves breaking
on a shallow bank up towards the north end. The odd wave had a rideable
face, many closing out. Curly normally is a south swell magnet, but today
it was struggling to produce anything really worth woohoo’ing about.
The wind has now swung onshore and made a mess of it (12:30pm). Swell
is coming from the south and is quite weak. Best crank out the work.
6 times Womens Surfing World Champion Layne Beachley
came out for a few snaps with the UBS crew. A great ambassador to the
sport, Layne weaved her wave through the crowds picking off the odd wave. Layne rips
